Al-Hilal tied with its counterpart Al-Ittihad with two goals each in the match that brought them together on Tuesday evening, at the summit of the 27th round matches of the Roshen Professional League, which was held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Malaz.
The double of Al-Ittihad was scored by Coronado and Ahmed Bamasoud in the 8th and 30th minutes, while the double of Al-Hilal, Musab Al-Juwair and Michael, scored in the 41st and 90th + 4 minutes of the match.
With this result, Al-Ittihad’s balance rose to 63 points at the top of the standings table, while Al-Hilal’s balance rose to 50 points in fourth place.
Match events:
Al-Hilal players tried to take the initiative early, and the Al-Ittihad defense was pressed in an attempt to score a first goal early, but the Al-Ittihad defense succeeded in blocking Al-Hilal’s attacks.
Gradually, Al-Ittihad players entered the atmosphere of the meeting, and in the 6th minute, Al-Ittihad captain Ahmed Hegazy almost took advantage of a corner ball to score the first goal, but his header passed over the crossbar of Al-Mayouf.
In the 9th minute, Al-Ittihad succeeded in scoring the first goal through Coronado, after a wonderful technical sentence between him and his Moroccan colleague Abdel-Razzaq Hamdallah.
Al-Ittihad’s attacks continued with a desire to score the second goal, and in the 14th minute, Muhammad Jahfali got a yellow card after he aggressively attacked Romarinho, who was on his way to single-handedly target Al-Mayouf.
In the 17th minute, Hamdallah missed a dangerous opportunity after he received a ball inside the penalty area and fired, but Al-Mayouf brilliantly saved.
In the 30th minute, Masoud succeeded in scoring the second goal of the federation, made by Moroccan Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah.
Despite Al-Ittihad players controlling the situation, Al-Hilal players tried to launch attacks in an attempt to reduce the difference.
And in the 41st minute, Al-Hilal narrowed the difference through its player, Musab Al-Juwair, in a ball that sparked controversy due to the uncertainty that the ball crossed the goal line, or that Grohe tackled it until the var entered and counted the ball as a goal.
And in the 45 + 4 minute, Vito almost scored the equalizer for Al Hilal, after he executed a wonderfully direct free kick, but it hit the left post of Grohe’s goal.
Second half:
Al-Hilal started the second half of the match, rushing to score the equalizer, while Al-Ittihad players relied on defense in order to absorb the enthusiasm of Al-Hilal players.
In the 54th minute, Al-Hilal launched an organized attack after exchanging passes between its players, to reach Musab Al-Juwair, who scored the first goal, but the Al-Ittihad defense took it out to a corner.
And in the 69th minute, Musaab Al-Juwair fell injured, which prompted the technical staff of Al-Hilal to replace him and involve Muhammad Kno in his place.
In the 71st minute, Ahmed Sharahili managed to save Al-Ittihad’s goal from a goal, after he removed a cross from Marija, and then blocked a powerful shot from Michael with his body.
Despite Al-Hilal’s control in the second half of the match, Al-Ittihad relied on counter-attacks, and in the 77th minute, Romarinho almost snatched a goal after he started brilliantly from the right front and hit the ball, but it passed next to Al-Mayouf’s goal.
In the 83rd minute, Hamdallah missed a dangerous opportunity after receiving a cross from Helder Costa, and hit the ball, but it went over the Al-Mayouf goal.
