Al-Hilal coach Emiliano Diaz said that the start of his team in the match against Al-Ittihad was not good and not as he wanted, but he improved with the passage of time.
Al-Hilal tied with its counterpart Al-Ittihad with two goals each in the match that brought them together on Tuesday evening, at the top of the matches of the 27th round of the Roshen Professional League, which was held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Malaz.
Diaz said in the press conference: “Our start in the meeting was not good, but after the first quarter of an hour we were able to control the ball as we wanted.”
He added, “I am required to improve our ranking in the league and to finish the season in the best way, and the young players now have an opportunity in the remaining matches that they must take advantage of.”
He continued, “Michael was feeling tired before the match, so I did not start with him, and I benefited from his services at the time commensurate with his readiness.”
And he continued: “Al-Hilal played today’s confrontation after a match whose minutes reached 130 minutes against Al-Wehda, so we were keen to distribute our efforts to get out of the match as required.”
He added, “If we had great hope in achieving the league, we would have appeared differently from what we appeared in, and we would have pressed hard to win.”
He pointed out that Michael participated instead of Carrillo, as the latter suffered from a blow he received in the back in the first half.
And he continued: “I thank Fahd bin Nafel, the club’s president, and Fahd Al-Mufarrej, the executive director, for the trust they gave me to supervise the team in the remaining matches.”
