The draw for the seventh edition of the Arab Futsal Cup 2023

On Tuesday morning, in Jeddah, the draw for the seventh edition of the Arab Futsal Championship 2023 was drawn for national teams, which is organized by the Arab Football Association and hosted by the Saudi Federation, during the period from 6 to 16 next June.

The first group included the teams of Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Libya and Sudan, and in the second group, Morocco, the Comoros, Kuwait and Lebanon, and in the third group the teams of Egypt, Mauritania, Palestine and Iraq.

Its competitions will be held in the Ministry of Sports hall in Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

The first edition of the championship was held in Cairo in 1998, with the participation of the teams of Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia.

In 2005, the second edition was also held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and the teams of Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Palestine and Morocco participated in it.

While Libya hosted the third edition in 2007, and the teams of Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt and Iraq participated in its competitions, as the Libyan team was crowned with the title.

Then the championship returned to Egypt in 2008 in its fourth edition, and the teams of Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Libya participated in the competitions. The Libyan team was also crowned with the title, and the Egyptian team came in second place, then the Jordanian team in third place.

After that, the championship returned again to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, which hosted the fifth edition in 2021, where the teams of Egypt, Mauritania, Bahrain, Kuwait, Morocco, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the Comoros participated in the competition, as the Moroccan team won the title.

The competitions for the sixth edition were held in the city of Dammam in the Kingdom, with the participation of the teams of Morocco, Kuwait, Mauritania, Somalia, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Libya, and ended with the Moroccan team crowning the title, while the Iraqi team finished second.
