Press reports revealed that the coach of the Al-Ittihad team, Portuguese Nuno Santo, is considering leaving the team after the end of the season.
The Italian journalist, Rudi Galetti, who works for the Sky Sport network, explained that Santo asked the federation management to terminate his contract, as his agent works to terminate the agreement by mutual consent after the end of the season.
Galetti pointed out, “The Al-Ittihad coach made this decision, in light of the interest of many clubs to sign with him, such as Chelsea, Leeds United, Wolverhampton, Crystal Palace, and Mexico’s Tigres Onal.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ittihad Club had officially contracted with Santo, for a period of two years, to succeed Romanian coach Cosmin Contra.
Al-Ittihad, under the leadership of Nuno Santo, is currently at the top of the Roshen League, with 62 points.
