Aston Villa defeats Tottenham.. and the European seat struggle ignites

Tottenham Hotspur’s suffering continued in the English Premier League, losing 2-1 to Aston Villa, as the winner revived his hopes of qualifying for the European Championship next season today, Saturday.

Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring with a goal for Villa in the eighth minute, and the team had more than one chance to add the second goal before the break.

Tottenham improved slightly in the second half, but Douglas Luiz added the second goal in the 72nd minute from a free kick.

Villa deserved to come out with victory to revive his hopes of qualifying for the European Championship, as he advanced to seventh place with 57 points, which is the same balance as Tottenham, sixth in the standings, before the last two rounds for each of them.

Eighth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion, who face Arsenal on Sunday, are two points behind Villa and Tottenham.
