“Investments” announces the launch of “Aroya Cruise”, the first Arab cruise line in the Kingdom

The Public Investment Fund announced today (Sunday) the launch of “Aroya Cruise” cruise lines, as the first Arab cruise line in the Kingdom.

The fund said that the new lines offer innovative options for spending a special vacation that reflects the Arab culture with the values ​​of inspiration, enrichment, generosity and respect.

He declared that “Aroya Cruise” lines are part of “Saudi Cruise”, and will be operated and managed as a separate unit targeting the Saudi and regional markets.

For its part, Saudi Cruise, one of the companies owned by the Fund, stated that the launch of “Aroya Cruise” comes due to the increasing demand from citizens and residents to participate in cruises during the past three “Saudi Cruise” seasons on board international ships.

The CEO of Saudi Cruise, Lars Claassen, said that the Oria line represents an important historic step in the field of developing the cruise tourism sector in the Kingdom, and the plan is to receive 1.3 million tourists to explore the Kingdom by sea by 2025.

He added that it was taken into account during the design and planning of the facilities and routes of “Aroya Cruise”; What local and regional tourists are looking for when choosing their vacation experiences, and in line with the needs of different groups.

In its first phase, “Aroya Cruise” targets the local and regional markets, and its starting point, routes, schedules and all relevant details will be announced in the coming months.

It is noteworthy that the launch of “Aroya Cruise” will, on the other hand, contribute to providing job opportunities and enabling small and medium enterprises to enter various fields related to cruise tourism, as Saudi Cruise’s strategy aims to provide 50,000 direct and indirect jobs within the integrated tourism cruise system by 2035.
