Microsoft: electronic attacks behind the disruption of some services

Microsoft attributed the reason for the outages that affected certain services of the company during some of the previous days of this month to the occurrence of electronic attacks.

The company stressed that there is no evidence that customer data has been hacked or accessed, indicating that it has monitored an increase in the percentage of network use against some services.

It pointed out that it opened an investigation and began tracking the attacks that caused the denial of service by the threat party, which it refers to as Storm-1359, after it identified the location of the threat.

DoS attacks work by crowding the server with so much traffic that it stops services.
