Al-Hilal President: We faced a difficult year.. Do not ask me about Messi
Al-Hilal club president Fahd bin Nafel confirmed that the team faced difficult circumstances during the current season, and despite that, it won the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup title at the expense of Al-Wahda.
Al-Hilal team was crowned the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup title, on Friday evening, after defeating Al-Wahda on penalties with a score (7-6), after the match ended in its original time and two additional halves, with a score of 1-1.
Bin Nafel said in statements after the match: “Al-Hilal tried to win all the championships, but this is difficult, because the club faced the most difficult year for the players and management after the decision to suspend two periods from registration.”
He added, “The difficult conditions were a motivation for the players, and they made a great effort and achieved an expensive championship.”
He explained that the management of Al Hilal always has plans for development, pointing out that stopping registration is a difficult task.
And he pointed out: “Any work in which there are mistakes, and I apologize to the fans of Al Hilal, and we will learn from the mistakes and bear the mistakes on behalf of anyone in Al Hilal.”
And when asked about Al-Hilal’s negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain star, Argentine player Lionel Messi, Ben Nafel said: “Do not ask me about Messi.”
