Zambia national team qualifies for the African Cup of Nations
Zambia’s national team booked its seat in the African Cup of Nations finals, this evening, Saturday, after defeating Cote d’Ivoire 3-0, in the fifth round of Group Eight of the qualifiers.
Zambia’s national team scored its first goal, Serge Aurier, player of Côte d’Ivoire, by mistake, in his own goal in the 31st minute, before Patson Dhaka added the second goal in the 48th minute, and Kings Kangawa completed Zambia’s goals in the 55th minute.
With that result, the Zambia national team raised its tally to 12 points at the top of the group standings, two points ahead of the second-placed Cote d’Ivoire.
