Al-Hilal Club President Fahd bin Nafel confirmed that the team faced difficult circumstances during the current season, and despite that, it was crowned with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup title at the expense of Al-Wahda.
Al-Hilal team was crowned the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup title, on Friday evening, after defeating Al-Wahda on penalties with a score (7-6), after the match ended in its original time and two additional halves, with a score of 1-1.
Bin Nafel said in statements to “ssc” channel: “Al-Hilal tried to win all the championships, but this is difficult, because the club faced the most difficult year for the players and management after the decision to suspend them for two periods from registration.”
He added: “The difficult conditions motivated the players, and they made a great effort and achieved a precious championship.”
He explained that the management of Al Hilal always has plans for development, pointing out that stopping registration is a difficult task.
And he concluded his remarks: “Any act in which there are mistakes, and I apologize to the fans of Al-Hilal, and we will learn from the mistakes and bear the mistakes on behalf of anyone in Al-Hilal.”
