Bellingham reveals the reasons for choosing Zidane’s shirt at Real Madrid

New Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham revealed the reasons for choosing the No. (5) shirt of Zinedine Zidane, the team’s legend and former coach.

Bellingham said at his presentation conference, “Shirt No. 5? Thank Vallejo, we talked and there was no problem.”

He stressed, “I admire Zidane a lot and his great history with the club. This number is what inspired me. Number 22 has been my number for a long time, but I will now wear a new number and we will see what happens in the future.”

He continued, “This shirt carried a great responsibility. Perhaps it could put me in an uncomfortable position, but I have always appreciated Zidane very much. For me, this was the best choice. I hope that I can extend the legacy of this number.”

Real Madrid announced that Bellingham signed a contract for the next 6 years, until 2029, from Borussia Dortmund.
