Who is Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid’s new deal?

Real Madrid announced today, Wednesday, the signing of English midfielder Judd Bellingham, without disclosing the financial details and the duration of the contract.

German club Borussia Dortmund announced earlier this month that it had agreed to sell Bellingham to the Spanish giants in a huge deal.

The 19-year-old, who has been linked with several major European clubs, joined Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020 for 25 million pounds ($31.17 million), becoming the most expensive 17-year-old in football history.

As a dynamic and energetic midfielder whose calmness on the ball is incomparable with his young age, Bellingham quickly became a regular fixture in Dortmund, becoming a mainstay in the midfield.

England manager Gareth Southgate made Bellingham the youngest English player to represent his country in a major tournament at Euro 2021.

Bellingham quickly became a regular in England’s midfield, playing in all five matches at the Qatar World Cup before England were knocked out in the quarter-finals by France.

Bellingham was associated with playing in Premier League clubs that wanted to return him to his country, including Liverpool, whose coach Jurgen Klopp said the team had to withdraw from the race to sign the player because of his price.

At Real Madrid, Bellingham will join a squad rich in young talent in midfield such as Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Choameni as the club look to build the squad for the future and replace longtime midfielders such as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

And Real, the 14-time European champion, is in the process of rebuilding his squad after the departure of adults such as Karim Benzema, who moved in a huge deal to Al-Ittihad Club, Hazard, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz.

The team won the King’s Cup last season but fell 10 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona. Real also lost to Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals.
