Study: Beetroot juice reduces the risk of heart attack
A recent British study revealed that beetroot juice helps reduce the risk of a heart attack, as it contains nitrates, which help expand blood vessels, improve blood flow and lower blood pressure.
The study showed that drinking only 70 ml per day of beetroot juice cut heart attacks or other complications by half in patients who had a “Raisor” stent, which is a tube-shaped device placed in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart for the purpose of keeping the arteries open in 6 months. .
For his part, Krishnaraj Rathod, a researcher at Queen Mary University of London, said that the new discovery is very beneficial for patients as it is a completely natural product and has no significant side effects.
He added that he will soon move to the next stage of the trials, hoping that doctors will soon prescribe beetroot juice to ensure that the stents last longer.
