City celebrates the historic triple with fans in the streets of Manchester (photos)

Manchester City celebrated its historic treble (the local league and cup and the European Champions League in football) in the streets of the city despite the rain, but it did not deprive thousands of fans of greeting the players and coaching staff during their tour via an open bus.

City crowned the league title on May 20, and won the FA Cup on the third of June, before adding its first historic title in the Champions League competition on Saturday by defeating Inter Milan (1-0) in the final match in Istanbul, equaling the achievement of its neighbor United. 1999.

The City players flew back to England on Sunday morning, and most of them immediately took another flight for an extra night of partying in Ibiza, Spain.

Despite the lack of sleep for 48 hours and the start of the celebrations being postponed for 30 minutes due to heavy rain, Spanish coach Pep Guardiola and his players did not miss this meeting with their fans.

“What a parade! What an era! We needed the best show, with this rain, otherwise this wouldn’t be Manchester. We didn’t want the sun, we wanted the rain. So the weather was great,” Guardiola joked upon his arrival at the concert venue.
