The agreement puts the final frills to contract with “Gerrard”

Informed sources revealed toSport 24He reported that the Al-Ettifaq club’s board of directors had put the final frills to contract with English coach Stephen Gerrard, to train the team during the new sports season (2023-2024).

The sources said that Gerrard came very close to the leadership of the agreement, after he arrived in Dammam, in order to meet with club officials and see the area.

And press reports had indicated, earlier, that the agreement made an offer to Gerrard, and the coach welcomed the idea, but asked for a deadline to study the offer.

Gerrard, 43, the former historic captain of Liverpool, left Aston Villa’s training last October after a series of modest results. He led the Rangers to achieve the Scottish Premier League in the 2020-2021 season, after finishing the season without any defeat.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ettifaq finished the Saudi League last season (2022-2023) in seventh place, with 37 points, collected from 10 wins and a draw in 7 matches, while losing in 13 confrontations.
