Al-Ittihad to Al-Ahly of Egypt: “We will see you soon in the Club World Cup”

Al-Ittihad Club sent a congratulatory message to its Egyptian counterpart, Al-Ahly, after winning the African Champions League title at the expense of Moroccan Wydad.

Al-Ahly won the title thanks to its 3-2 superiority in the aggregate score, after its 2-1 victory in Cairo last week, and then a 1-1 draw for each team in the second leg.

The federation said, through its official account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “Congratulations to Al-Ahly of Egypt for winning the 2023 CAF Champions League… We will see you soon in the Club World Cup.”

The Saudi Football Association had announced the participation of Al-Ittihad Club in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be hosted by the Kingdom, as the champion of the Saudi Roshen Professional League 2022-2023.
