After the allocation… stadiums and facilities await exceptional preparations
In a historic and powerful step, the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, announced, last Monday evening, decisions that opened the wide door to four Saudi clubs, which are Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Diriyah, Al-Saqour and Al-Ula.
The Minister of Sports revealed the transfer of ownership of Al-Qadisiyah Club to Aramco, Al-Diriyah Club to the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Al-Ula Club to the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, and the Falcons Club to NEOM.
And the club officials expressed their pleasure with the step, which they described as historic and with its expected results, as the head of the Al-Qadisiyah Audience Council, Sami Al-Shami, said in an exclusive statement to:Sport 24“This is a historic step and a very strong step in the history of Al-Qadisiyah Club.”
The head of the Falcons Club, Abdullah Al-Bouq, said in an interview with “Sport 24“We aim to build a promising generation for the region’s sport..and we aspire to have the team in the upper league levels.”
And the president of Al-Diriyah Club, Khaled Al-Habashan, indicated that his club lacks facilities, saying: “This is a problem we have been suffering from for a long time, and we do not have a headquarters, and therefore we cannot expand in games or even in social activities, and after the club joins the Diriyah Authority it will be There are reforms.”
The four clubs differ from each other in terms of history and competition, but they all suffer from great difficulties, such as dilapidated stadiums and facilities in some privatized clubs.
The first problems of these clubs are the facilities, as Al-Qadisiyah has a good stadium that needs development, and other clubs live with dilapidated stadiums, and sometimes without headquarters, and this made the privatization step important and decisive for these clubs.
The new season will be a new beginning for the four clubs, as Al-Qadisiyah is present in the first division, Al-Diriyah and Falcons are in the second division, and Al-Ula is in the third division.
