His Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice-President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and President of the Saudi Olympic Academy, today, Sunday, witnessed the inauguration ceremony of the 63rd edition of the Olympic Ambassadors Program of the International Olympic Academy in the Greek capital, Athens, in the presence of the President of the Greek Republic, Katrina Sakellaropoulou, and the President of the International Olympic Academy, Mr. Isidros Covelius, with the participation of 130 people from different countries of the world.
Along with His Highness, the opening ceremony of the new academic season, which was launched under the slogan (Innovating Physical Education and Teaching Olympic Values to Build a Better World), was attended by the CEO of the Saudi Olympic Academy, Ms. Al-Batoul Baroum, in addition to the new Saudi students who were dispatched by the Saudi Olympic Academy, namely Abdulaziz Al-Zaid and Asma Al-Balawi. Juri Al-Andis and Waleed Al-Hassan; Through whom the academy seeks to transfer a new international experience to educational programs within the Kingdom in the future.
The program includes lectures given by prominent professors in the field of the Olympic Movement, workshops, cultural visits, sports and artistic activities, and performances that last for two weeks in the capital of the Olympic Movement, Olympia, the Republic of Greece.
It is also scheduled to hold an executive master’s degree in Olympic studies at the German University of Cologne during the next few years, in which the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee will be represented by Ibtihal Al-Qahtani and Amr Turkestani.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Olympic Academy was reactivated during the year 2021 AD and achieved the (Autosmizic) award from the International Olympic Academy for excellence that has been achieved since the beginning of the reactivation, as the number of Saudi ambassadors participating in the International Olympic programs reached
