His Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice-President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and President of the Saudi Olympic Academy, today, Sunday, witnessed the inauguration ceremony of the 63rd edition of the Olympic Ambassadors Program of the International Olympic Academy in the Greek capital, Athens, in the presence of the President of the Greek Republic, Katrina Sakellaropoulou, and the President of the International Olympic Academy, Mr. Isidros Covelius, with the participation of 130 people from different countries of the world.

Along with His Highness, the opening ceremony of the new academic season, which was launched under the slogan (Innovating Physical Education and Teaching Olympic Values ​​to Build a Better World), was attended by the CEO of the Saudi Olympic Academy, Ms. Al-Batoul Baroum, in addition to the new Saudi students who were dispatched by the Saudi Olympic Academy, namely Abdulaziz Al-Zaid and Asma Al-Balawi. The program includes lectures given by prominent professors in the field of the Olympic Movement, workshops, cultural visits, sports and artistic activities, and performances that last for two weeks in the capital of the Olympic Movement, Olympia, the Republic of Greece.

It is also scheduled to hold an executive master’s degree in Olympic studies at the German University of Cologne during the next few years, in which the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee will be represented by Ibtihal Al-Qahtani and Amr Turkestani.

The number of beneficiaries of the Saudi Olympic Academy programs reached more than 411 male and female participants in a number of courses, most notably the Saudi Olympic Academy preliminary course and the symposium on promoting Olympic education, in addition to holding courses in protocol, contracts and procurement, information technology, project management, sports management, and a leadership course.
