The Argentine star, who recently joined the ranks of the American Inter Miami, Lionel Messi, was exposed to an embarrassing situation when he and his compatriot Rodrigo de Paul arrived on a private plane at Beijing Airport in China.
And the security forces at the airport stopped the Argentine star for about 40 minutes, amid discussions with his colleague Rodrigo de Paul to resolve the crisis of Messi’s arrest.
Messi remained surrounded by security men at Beijing airport, causing a state of anxiety until he was allowed to move after the matter was resolved. According to press reports, the reason was problems with the Argentine player’s passport.
Messi is in China to participate with his country in the friendly match that will bring him together with his Australian counterpart in China on June 15.
This visit is not Messi’s first to China, but rather the seventh he is there.
There was a passport problem with Messi’s arrival in China causing a delay but look at De Paul continuing to guard Messi, we all need a friend like that, right?
