Reuters: The agreement is making a bid to contract with coach Gerrard

According to a source familiar with the negotiations, Al-Ettifaq Club made an offer to the Englishman, Stephen Gerrard, to lead his team in the next season.

“The agreement made an offer to Gerrard. Gerrard welcomed the idea, but asked for a deadline to study the offer,” the source told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Gerrard, the former historic captain of Liverpool, left Aston Villa’s coach last October after a series of modest results.

Gerrard, 43, led the Rangers to achieve the Scottish Premier League in the 2020-2021 season, after he finished the season without any defeat.

Al-Ettifaq finished the Saudi League in seventh place last season.

And the Saudi League became attractive to the stars after Al-Nasr signed Cristiano Ronaldo in a huge deal at the end of last December, and Karim Benzema, the Real captain, joined Al-Ittihad club a few days ago.
