The Hira Cultural District project in Makkah Al-Mukarramah is characterized by its location at the foot of Mount Hira, which is a destination for large numbers of visitors throughout the year and throughout the day, as the cultural district is a unique tourist cultural landmark.
The project, which is located on an area of 67,000 square meters, consists of a visitor center that is known about the components of the site, its historical and geographical nature, and the services in it, and the Revelation Gallery, which presents the story of the revelation of the prophets, all the way to the Seal of the Messengers.
The exhibition includes a special pavilion that tells the story of the revelation of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and an aspect of his biography.
The neighborhood project, which was inaugurated by the governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region (Sunday), aims to: To develop the site in a manner befitting its historical status, the status of the Kingdom, its sponsorship of the holy places and historical sites, and the exploitation of the natural bids of the place and its historical value.
The first Museum of the Holy Quran
The project includes the Museum of the Holy Qur’an, which is the first museum specialized in the Holy Qur’an in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, next to Mount Hira, where it is known as the Book of God Almighty, and shows its greatness and universality, manifestations of celebration and care for it, and its impact on the lives of Muslims, through a wide system of modern technologies and distinctive collectibles, and a group of The most valuable manuscripts of the Holy Qur’an.
The Hira Cultural District includes the cultural library, which is concerned with the history and information of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, in addition to the Prophet’s biography and the Muhammadan virtues. It is also concerned with the history and events of Mount Hira, the cave and the surrounding area.

The visitor is allowed to ascend to the Cave of Hira through a paved road from the project site at the bottom of the mountain.

Visitors to the neighborhood can visit the Saudi Coffee Museum, enjoy tasting Saudi coffee, and learn about the cultural diversity in its tools and components, and the methods of preparation in the various regions of the Kingdom.
The project is full of a variety of commercial facilities, including restaurants and cafes that serve various local dishes stemming from the identity of Makkah and the Kingdom, in addition to international dishes that take into account the required diversity. It is also possible to purchase gifts and souvenirs of the place that express its identity.
