A new feature of “WhatsApp” to transfer conversations without backup

The American company, “Meta-Platforms”, announced a new feature under testing to transfer WhatsApp chats from one device to another without the need for a backup, for users who have limited cloud storage space.

The company stated that in order for the transfer process to take place, the user must download the application on the phone to which he would like to transfer the conversations, then log in with the same phone number, while using the old phone to scan the QR code from the new phone.

And “WhatsApp” allows its users to transfer conversations and media files such as photos from one phone to another, only if there is a previously uploaded backup copy on the iCloud cloud or Google Drive.
