Al-Haili on the Benzema deal: The Saudi League has become an attraction for stars

Al-Ittihad club president Anmar Al-Haili stressed the strength of the Saudi league, “which has become attractive to all stars thanks to its high levels and high competition, in addition to the volume of follow-up that reached more than 180 countries during the last season.”

Al-Haili’s remarks came on the sidelines of Al-Ittihad club, the Saudi Professional Football League champion, announcing today, Tuesday, the contract with Frenchman Karim Benzema from Real Madrid until 2026.

Al-Haeli revealed Benzema’s shirt number in Al-Ittihad, saying: “We are excited to see him in shirt No. 9 for the Tigers.

The President of the Federation added: “We are very happy to have signed with one of the most prominent football stars in history, and we are proud of this historic step in the march of our ancient club and its loyal fans.”

And he continued, “Benzema will represent us at the beginning of the next season, as we face a strong challenge to defend our title in the league and compete in the Asian Championship, as well as participate globally in the Club World Cup.”
