The president of Al-Nasr, Musli Al-Muammar, the president of Al-Hilal, Fahd bin Nafel, and the president of Al-Ahly, Walid Moaz, removed the status of a club president from their accounts via the social networking site “Twitter”.
And the president of the federation, Anmar Al-Haili, has maintained the status of chairman of the club’s board of directors through his account on the communication site so far.
And the Minister of Sports, Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, announced that the Public Investment Fund had acquired 4 clubs from the Roshan League, and transferred them to companies owned by the fund.
In his speech during the clubs privatization conference, the Minister of Sports stated that the clubs that the Public Investment Fund will acquire by 75% are Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly.
Al-Faisal announced the formation of the boards of directors of Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly club companies, consisting of 5 members appointed by the Investment Fund, and 2 members nominated by the non-profit organization.
He stressed that the clubs whose ownership has been transferred to the Public Investment Fund will be according to a mechanism and specific proportions, where the investment fund has 75%, and the non-profit organization 25%, and the non-profit organization includes current and new supporters in the next stage.
