The Ministry of Health highlighted the harmful effects of smoking on women, primarily the change in the color of nails and teeth and osteoporosis.
The ministry stated that the damages include premature birth or miscarriage of the fetus, in addition to the weakening of the woman’s ability to conceive.
She pointed out that the harms of smoking on men include reducing fertility, increasing the risk of birth defects in the fetus when smoking near a pregnant woman, as well as increasing the possibility of miscarriage.
