Champion Napoli concludes the Italian League with a victory over Sampdoria

Victor Osimone and Giovanni Simeone scored as Italian champions Napoli beat Sampdoria 2-0 at home in the season finale today, Sunday.

Napoli ended the season with 90 points from 38 matches, while Sampdoria was relegated after its score stopped at 19 points.

The confrontation was the last match for the coaches of the two teams, as Luciano Spalletti will leave to get a rest after leading Napoli to the coronation.

Sampdoria coach Dejan Stankovic told the Dazon broadcasting service that he would not lead the team in the second division.

Osimhen, the league’s top scorer, raised his tally to 26 goals when he hit the net from a penalty kick in the 64th minute, after falling following an intervention from Nicolas Moro.

Simeone added the second goal with a powerful shot five minutes before the end.
