Staying in City or leaving.. Gundogan refuses to talk about his future

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan refused to comment on his departure from his club, especially since his contract expires next month.

“To be honest, I don’t need these kind of days to feel valued and privileged at this club,” the German told the BBC.

He added, “I know this, and that is why I have been here already for seven years and I have lived all the ups and downs. Nothing is decided yet, so let’s see what happens.”

Coach Pep Guardiola also had no answers and said he “hoped” to renew the attacking midfielder’s contract, which has been linked to a move to Milan or Arsenal.

With City looking to become only the second English team to achieve the treble after Manchester United in 1999, Gundogan prefers to focus on the Istanbul final.

And he continued, “Of course, we play the finals to win them, especially this European final will be more special.
