Kuwait wins Mauritanian Nouadhibou in the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs
The Kuwaiti team, Kuwait, defeated its host, Nouadhibou, Mauritania, with two goals to one, in the first leg of the second round of the King Salman Cup 2023 qualifiers for clubs, which is organized by the Arab Football Association.
The goal of Nouadhibou was scored by Mohsen Baddah, while the Kuwait team’s double came through Muhammad Al-Rashidi and Taha Yassin Al-Khunisi.
The two teams are scheduled to meet in the return match at Kuwait Stadium, on Thursday, June 8, 2023, to decide who will qualify for the group stage, which will be held in the assembly system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The qualified team from Nouadhibou and Kuwait is scheduled to join the fourth group, which includes both the Algerian Belouizdad youth and the Moroccan Raja or the Emirati unit.
