“Twitter” appoints a new CEO … and allows “encrypted messages” for verified accounts
The CEO of Twitter, the American billionaire Elon Musk, announced the appointment of a new president in his place for the platform, without mentioning her name, as this coincided with the platform giving priority to account holders with regard to the encrypted messaging service.
Musk explained that the new CEO will also head the emerging company, “X”, after his decision to transfer ownership of the company to her, indicating that she will start her duties within about 6 weeks, and that he will move to the position of the executive chairman of the board.
He added that the encrypted message service will currently be limited to authenticated users who have the latest version of the application on their devices, pointing out that the platform will not be able to access these messages at all.
