A friendly confrontation between Germany and France next September
The French Football Federation announced today, Tuesday, that its country will meet its German counterpart in an international friendly match next September 12 in Dortmund, less than a year before the latter hosts the European Championship 2024.
The match will be held at Borussia Dortmund’s “Signal Iduna Park”, five days after France welcomed the Republic of Ireland on September 7 at the “Parc des Princes” stadium in the 2024 European Cup qualifiers.
The French and German national teams met for the last time on June 15, 2021 in Munich during the last European Championship, and France won 1-0 at the opening of the first round.
