The conclusion of the Kingdom Elite Championship for the Schools Basketball League
The team of Saihat School in Al-Qatif Governorate from the General Administration of Education in the Eastern Region for the category (18 years), and the team of Al-Khuwailediyah School in Al-Qatif Governorate from the General Administration in the Eastern Region for the category (16 years), were crowned with the two cups of the Kingdom’s Elite Championship for the Schools Basketball League.
This came after the two final matches that were held this evening in the gym at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.
In the category (18 years), Saihat School achieved the championship cup after defeating its counterpart Dar Al-Abrar School from the Public Administration in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region with a score (68-51), and Hawazen School from the General Administration of Education in Al-Ahsa Region won third place.
In the category (16 years old), Al-Khuwelidiyah School achieved the championship title after defeating Dar Jana School from the General Administration of Education in Jeddah with a score of (47-22), and Al-Faris International School from the General Administration of Education in Riyadh won the third place.
The tournament is the first version of basketball as part of the Schools League project, which is implemented by the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, which aims to develop school sports and develop the capabilities and capabilities of male and female students of general education in the Kingdom to highlight their sports talents to be the nucleus of clubs and national teams in the future.
30 teams representing 15 educational departments from different regions and governorates of the Kingdom participated in the tournament, with 15 teams for the middle school category (16 years old) and 15 teams for the secondary stage category (18 years old).
