Officially.. Pochettino has been training Chelsea for two years

Chelsea announced Monday evening that Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed to lead the Blues to replace Frank Lampard, starting next season.

Frank Lampard had temporarily coached Chelsea until the end of the current season.

Pochettino will take over Chelsea training starting next July 1, with a two-season stay in addition to the option of another year.

Pochettino took over Tottenham earlier and led the team to qualify for the Champions League final, in addition to achieving second place in the English Premier League in the 2016-2017 season.

Chelsea ranked 12th in the English Premier League standings with 44 points, failing to secure any qualifying position for any European championship next season.
