Officially.. Luton City qualifies for the Premier League

Luton City qualified for the next edition of the English Premier League championship after defeating its counterpart Coventry City in the qualifying playoffs, by penalty kicks, 6-5, after the match ended in normal and extra time, with a goal for each team, yesterday evening, Saturday.

This is the first time that Luton City qualifies for the English Premier League under its new name. As it was relegated to the first division in the 1991-92 season, a few months before the start of the Premier League.

The club’s count faltered until it was relegated to the fifth division, before returning to the English Premier League in the next season 2023/2024.
