Hegazy is at the top of the initial list of professionals for the Egyptian national team camp
The coach of the Egyptian national team, led by the Portuguese Roy Vitoria, announced the summoning of seven players in the preliminary professional list for the June camp.
Al-Ittihad player Ahmed Hegazy was at the top of the list of professionals summoned to face Guinea and South Sudan, while Tariq Hamed was absent from the list of professionals due to injury.
The list was as follows:
“Mohamed Salah, Ahmed Hegazy, Mahmoud Trezeguet, Mustafa Mohamed, Omar Marmoush, Ahmed Hamdy, Sam Morsi.”
The Egyptian professional in the ranks of Al-Ittihad Club, Ahmed Hegazy, had two distinguished numbers for him after winning the league championship.
The international defender became the first Egyptian captain of a team to win the Saudi Professional League championship.
And the 32-year-old became the first foreign captain to lift the Saudi League Cup with Al-Ittihad.
Al-Ittihad’s decision to win the league came after its victory over Al-Fayhaa, 3-0, in the match that took place between them for the 29th round, which was what the team needed to be officially crowned, without considering the result of its pursuit of Al-Nasr, which stumbled in front of Al-Ettifaq for the same round, so that the difference between them widened to 5 points.
