Officially… Haaland wins the Premier League Player of the Year award
The English Premier League announced that Manchester City player, Norwegian Erling Haaland, won the Player of the Season award in the English Premier League competition.
Haaland became the first player in history to combine the awards for best player of the season and best young player of the season in the English Premier League.
Haaland was able to equal the record for the most players contributing goals (scoring and assisting) in one season in the Premier League, which was owned by Thierry Henry, former Arsenal star in the season (2002-2003).
Haaland led Manchester City to win the Premier League title in the last round of the English Premier League.
The Norwegian striker is the Premier League’s top scorer this season, with 36 goals so far.
