Former Al-Ittihad player, Hamad Al-Manthari, confirmed that the most important characteristic of the league leader is his Brazilian player, Romarinho, who led him to victory over Al-Batin in the last round of the Roshen Professional League.
Al-Manthari said, in statements via SSC NEWS: “What distinguished Al-Ittihad in the Al-Batin match was the movements and positioning of Romarinho.”
He explained that Romarinho was able to settle many matches in favor of Al-Ittihad, noting that coach Nuno Santo was keen to fortify the defense greatly.
He emphasized that Al-Batin presented one of his most beautiful matches, and had it not been for the circumstances in which the season began, he would not have been relegated to the first division.
