Saudi Arabia is in Group X of the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers
The Asian Football Confederation announced, on Thursday, the results of the qualifying draw for the AFC U-23 Championship “Qatar 2024”, where the draw ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Confederation.
The Asian qualifiers draw resulted in the presence of the Saudi national team, the holder of the AFC U-23 Championship, in Group X, accompanied by the teams of Cambodia, Lebanon and Mongolia.
43 teams will participate in the Asian Cup qualifiers, in order to qualify for the sixth edition in the history of the tournament, provided that the qualifiers will be held in a grouping system, from one round, during the period between 4 and 12 September.
The qualifying matches will be hosted by 11 countries, namely, Bahrain, China, Indonesia, Jordan, South Korea, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
The results of the AFC U-23 Championship qualification draw are as follows:
Group A: Jordan – Syria – Oman – Brunei.
Group B: South Korea – Myanmar – Kyrgyzstan – Qatar.
– Group C: Vietnam – Singapore – Yemen – Guam.
Group D: Japan – Bahrain – Palestine – Pakistan.
Group E: Uzbekistan – Iran – Hong Kong, China – Afghanistan.
Group Six: Iraq – Kuwait – East Timor – Macau.
Group G: UAE – India – Maldives – China.
Group Eight: Thailand – Malaysia – Bangladesh – Philippines.
Group N: Australia – Tajikistan – Laos – North Korea.
Group Ten: Saudi Arabia – Cambodia – Lebanon – Mongolia.
Group Eleven: Turkmenistan – Indonesia – Chinese Taipei.
