Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation, won a new term in office by acclamation for four years until 2027, and that was during the regular general assembly meeting of the regional federation that was held in the Qatari capital, Doha.

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani expressed his happiness with the confidence he had gained from the member federations to lead the Gulf football helm since the moment of the establishment of the Arab Gulf Cup Federation, which was born in 2016.

He added: “The next stage will witness a great development, especially after the statutes of the Arab Gulf Cup Federation were amended, and in light of these amendments, various tournaments will be created under the umbrella of the federation, and there are many ideas that are being studied at the level of club championships and age groups that we pay attention to.” great.”

The Vice-President of the Union, Salem bin Saeed Al-Wahaibi, was also re-elected by acclamation for the same session.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of the Bahraini Federation, Ahmed Al Shaheen, President of the Kuwaiti Federation, Abdullah Al Junaibi, First Deputy and Acting President of the UAE Federation, Ali Jabbar, Vice President of the Iraqi Federation, Mohsen bin Hamad Al Masrouri, Vice President of the Omani Federation, and Khalid bin Abdulaziz. Bin Mejren, representative of the Saudi Federation, Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Buainain, member of the Qatari Federation, and Dr. Hamid Al-Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Federation.

It is noteworthy that the Gulf Cup Football Association supervised the organization of the last two editions of the Arabian Gulf Cup, as the first was held in the State of Qatar in 2019, and the second was in Iraq at the beginning of this year.
