FC Barcelona is preparing to announce the departure of its star player, Jordi Alba, after 11 years in the Spanish League shirt.

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reported that Alba and Barcelona will officially announce the news today, Wednesday.

Alba joined the Blaugrana in the summer of 2012 from Valencia.

The 34-year-old played 458 matches with Barcelona in all competitions and won 18 titles with the team.
