Joel Ward scored a goal near the end to draw Crystal Palace 2-2 at Fulham, in a match in which Aleksandar Mitrovic scored twice in his first appearance as a starter after being suspended for eight matches in the English Premier League today, Saturday.

Fulham continued to be in tenth place with 52 points from 37 games, four points behind Brentford. Palace advanced to Chelsea, who face leaders Manchester City tomorrow, Sunday, and became 11th with 44 points.

Palace advanced with a goal in the 34th minute, through Odson Edwar, with a shot in the narrow corner, after a counterattack led by his teammate Ibriche Eze.

Fulham striker Harry Wilson got a penalty kick after being fouled by Terek Mitchell, and Mitrovic successfully executed it past goalkeeper Sam Johnston before the break.

The Serbian striker, who completed the match without a number after a nosebleed that forced him to replace his shirt, put Fulham ahead with a powerful header in the 61st minute.

Ward secured a point for his visiting team in the 83rd minute, after following a rebound that Fulham’s defense failed to clear.
