The President of the Saudi Automobile Federation, Prince Khaled bin Sultan Al-Faisal, said that the Kingdom is witnessing a great boom in the field of motorsports, in light of the organization of various international and local championships.
The Saudi driver, Yazid Al-Rajhi, achieved a comfortable victory in the first edition of the Tabuk-Neum Rally, the second round of the Saudi Toyota Rally Championship, at the start of his campaign to defend his title.
The President of the Saudi Federation confirmed in exclusive statements to “Sport 24”, on the sidelines of the Tabuk-Neum Rally, that motorsports fall under more than one type, and their number reaches approximately 50 races, stressing the federation’s endeavor to increase activities, events and championships to attract the largest possible segment. This will be worked on with the Ministry of Sports, sponsors, and partners.
Al-Faisal pointed out that motorsport is of great importance in the Kingdom and has a positive impact on the country, stressing that sport is an essential element for the country’s advancement, whether through organization, or participation with players in tournaments.
