Today, Saturday, the Board of Directors of the League of First Class Professional Clubs held its periodic meeting headed by the Acting President of the League, Talal bin Abdullah Al-Obaidi, in the city of Riyadh, in the presence of Vice President Abdullah Al-Jariwi and members of the Board of Directors Bashir Al-Qahtani, Samra Al-Quwaiz, and Khaled Al-Dosari.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council thanked the wise leadership – may God bless it – for the attention it attaches to the sports sector. The Council also commended the great interest and close follow-up of the Minister of Sports, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and his interest in everything that can contribute to the success of football. Saudi Arabia in general and the first-division league for professionals in particular. The Council also congratulated the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Association for its confidence and renewal for the upcoming electoral period.

The Board discussed the agenda of the meeting, the most important of which is the outputs of the last General Assembly meeting, as well as the results of reducing operational costs, and the television transmission file, with a discussion of the most important objectives and strategy of the Board of Directors for the next season.

During the meeting, the Board of Directors of the League of First Class Professional Clubs congratulated the promoted clubs from the Yellow League to the Roshen Professional League for the next season 2023-2024, “Al-Ahly, Al-Akhdood, Al-Hazm and Al-Riyadh.”

Also, welcoming and congratulating the promoted clubs from the Second Division to the Yellow League for the first-class professional clubs for the next season 2023-2024, and they are the “Al-Najma, Taraji, Al-Bakiriya, Al-Safa and Al-Jandal” clubs, wishing all clubs success.

During its meeting, the council focused on ensuring that its upcoming goals would largely intersect with the vision’s goals in the field of sports and empowerment.

He also briefed the Council on the latest preparations for the coronation ceremony of the current sports season.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the members of the Council praised the partnership agreement between the League of First Class Professional Clubs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, with the aim of cooperation and strengthening solidarity for the beneficiaries of charitable institutions for the care of orphans supervised by the Ministry, and facilitating their integration in the sports field, to contribute to increasing the percentage of direct and indirect employment in All areas supervised by the League of First Class Professional Clubs, in order to activate the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 with empowerment and social responsibility, and the involvement of orphans in the sports field, through cooperation with the Ekhaa Foundation to create a stimulating sports environment.
