Al-Faisal signs a memorandum of understanding with the Italian Olympic Committee
The President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and the President of the Italian Olympic Committee, Giovanni Malago, signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and its Italian counterpart for a period of four years.
This came during his meeting with Mr. Giovanni Malago in the Italian capital, Rome, today, Wednesday, within the framework of His Highness’s European tour, during which he met with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Dr. Thomas Bach, and a number of its leaders, at the headquarters of the committee in the Swiss city of Lausanne.
The agreement aims to develop and raise means of cooperation between the two sides, and to enhance means of sports communication in the winter sports track. In light of Italy’s readiness to host the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina, and the Kingdom’s work to prepare for a historic hosting of the Asian Winter Games in Trogina 2029, as the first destination to organize these games in western Asia.
The signing ceremony of the agreement was attended by Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Princess Dalil bint Nahar bin Saud, CEO of the Asian Games (Riyadh 2034), Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Adwaa Al-Arifi, and CEO and Secretary-General of the Committee. Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen, and Director of the Sports Sector, Pneum Jean Patterson.
